Day 1: South Coastal Route (33 Kms)

The route began at Rosslare Harbour and continued along the beach through St. Helens and Carne. It continued on around Carnsore Point and past the beautiful lakes at Our Lady's Island & Tacumshane. The first days trekking ended in Kilmore Quay where stunning views of the Saltee Islands awaited.

Day 2: The Blackstairs Walk (approx 36 kms)

The most challenging of all the days, this route is considered one of the classic routes in Irish hill-walking.

The Blackstairs Walk is approximately a 36Km mountain walk along the Carlow Wexford Border and traverses the entire range. This year, luckily we had beautiful weather for the day but the walk still took over 9 hours to complete. At the end of a long day, all the walkers were very glad of John's soup in Byrne's pub in Glynn!
